Rurouni Kenshin is a story of a man named Himura Kenshin he's a master of the kenjitsu Hiten Mitsurugi ryu the most deadly form of kenjitsu.He once was a feared assassin who gladly would kill.After acheiving the goals of the Ishin Shishi he gave up his Katana and got a sakabatou (a reverse bladed sword which you can't kill with)and vowed never to kill again.He became a rurouni and swore to protect the innocent people. Rurouni Kenshin is (loosely) based on actual events in japanese history.It takes place in 1878 or Meiji 11 in japan.He meets up with a young female kendo master,a 10 year old boy,a ex-gangster,a young docter,and a ex-Shinsengumi member.They fight a assassin from Kenshin's past,The oniwa-bashuu,a insane but brilliant warlord who wants to overturn the government and rule Japan,his elite mercenary group,and an insane mafia boss from Kenshin's past. |
